GARDINER MINES

7:30 p.m., Gardiner Mines Recreation Society will hold a mixed dart league at the Gardiner Mines Community Hall, 6429 Seaside Dr. 8 p.m., A card game at the Gardiner Mines Senior Citizens and Pensioners Hall, Seaside Drive. Cash jackpot. Free tea/coffee.

GLACE BAY

10 a.m.-5 p.m., Summer hours are in place for the Glace Bay Heritage Museum (Old Town Hall). During those hours, the museum, the Isabelle Harris Gift Shop and Second Hand Book Store are open. Admission is by donation. 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Face painting at the UNIA Cultural Museum, 35 Jessome St., as part of the Marcus Garvey Festival.

12 p.m., Barbecue at the UNIA Cultural Museum, 35 Jessome St., as part of the Marcus Garvey Festival.

12-4 p.m., Games, water slide and more at the UNIA Cultural Museum, 35 Jessome St., as part of the Marcus Garvey Festival.

6-9 p.m., Community meet and greent at the UNIA Cultural Museum, 35 Jessome St., as part of the Marcus Garvey Festival.

7-9 p.m., Kid’s dance for ages 10-15 at Morrison Campus Y’s Men Centre, 101 Upper McLean St. $6 entry includes one pop and chips, video dances to be added soon.

7-9 p.m., Chase the Ace, along with a social hour consisting of music and games, St. Leo’s Community Centre, Sterling Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

8 p.m., AA meeting (OD) by the Alano group at rear McKeen Street.
