Card of Thanks Doug Macdonald
We, the family, of Douglas Wayne Macdonald, North Sydney, would like to extend sincere thanks to the many friends and family for the kind expressions of love and sympathy during our recent bereavement. We greatly appreciated the many gestures of sympathy including meals, flowers, cards, donations made in Doug’s memory, and the many friends who visited and helped with our daily tasks during his illness. We would particularly like to thank Rev Fr. Douglas Beck and Rev Jackie Warren for the many visits, continued spiritual support and love and concern. We wish to thank St. John’s Anglican Church choir, choir director and all those who involved in the reception. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Kirkpatrick, Dr. Alexander Wawer, Dr. Ron Mccormick, and Dr. Daniel French. Sincere gratitude is extended to all of the excellent Palliative Care doctors and staff, especially Holly, Susan and Claudette, the staff and nurses at the Cape Breton Regional Cancer Centre, along with the nurses on 4th floor (remembering the root beer popsicles provided by Annie, it did not go unnoticed) at the Northside General hospital who showed such compassion and care, taking care not only of Doug but of our entire family. Their kindness will never be forgotten. We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of W.j.dooley Funeral Home for their compassion, support and willingness to go above and beyond. Doug will be missed forever, but we know that he will live in the hearts of all who shared their grief with us during this difficult time.
Sincerely The Macdonald Family
