-

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of James Williams on May 29, 2020 in Courtenay, BC at the age of 55. Born in Sydney, NS on December 2, 1964, he was the loving son of Phyllis (Ramey) Williams and the late James S. Williams. James grew up on Keltic Drive in Sydney. He was always mechanically minded and could often be found in the garage working on his many dirt bikes, snowmobiles and cars. His true passion was motorcycles of all types but mainly dirt bikes. He spent many days enjoying the outdoors, riding through the trails. James moved to Courtenay, BC where he had lived for the last twenty years, working in various retail occupations. It was there he met the love on his life Brianna Ramsell. He also had a special place in his heart for his cat Six, who was his loyal companion for many years. James loved living on Vancouver Island and particularly enjoyed going for drives, taking in all the natural beauty of the Comox Valley area. Although he lived in BC for many years, he kept in touch with his friends at home, especially his close friend Larry Stonehouse. James is survived by his partner, Brianna Ramsell of Courtenay, BC; his mother, Phyllis Williams; sister, Margaret (Dave) Smith, Sydney, NS and brother-in-law, Pat Bolen, Victoria, BC. He is also survived by a nephew, several nieces, grand nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. James was predeceased by his father, James Williams and sister, Debi Williams. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. Even though distance separated us, we were always close in heart. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Piercy’s Funeral Home in Courtenay, BC. A celebration of life will held a later date. Ride on James! Until we meet again.
