DAUPHINEE, John Joseph Dominion

We, the family of Joe Dauphinee, regret the passing of our dearest brother, uncle, and grand uncle on July 15th at the age of 69 at the CBRH. Joe was a kind man with a giving heart who appreciated the little things in life and had a sense of humor that left everyone in stitches. He enjoyed a cold beer on a hot day, a swim at the reef, or a skate at the level. He loved walking while watching the sun setting on the water with his best friend “Boots” who was always by his side. He had a kind heart and was quick to offer a hand to anyone in need, and his love for animals was beyond measure. Joe’s quickness of wit and sharp sense of humor kept everyone laughing as he had a knack for coming up with nicknames and poking fun at his five sisters. He was a great storyteller and often kept us entertained with the tales of his travels. He was an important figure to all his nieces and nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Not only was he an uncle, but a friend, a confidante, a protector and a teacher. They had many lessons on the way to the big reef about the environment, ocean and life in general. He was someone they could turn to for sound advice, and he would tell them what they needed to know and not what they wanted to hear and held their truths in confidence. Joe’s faith was unwavering through his love for Jesus and Mother Mary. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him including his sisters, Colleen (Dan) Hawryluk, Theresa (Butch) Young, Irene Lawson, and Marilee (Rick) Dauphinee, as well as his lifelong best friend, Ira, and closest companion, “Boots”. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents, John and Olive Dauphinee; brother, Bronson, and sister, Gail. Remains are entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists. Family and friends are invited to an internment on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 2 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Dominion with Fr.
