NICHOLAS, Joshua Andrew Levi

-

April 5, 1981 – May 23, 2021 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Josh, whom everyone came to know as Bigelow. Joshua was born in Sydney to Paul Nicholas Sr., and the late Mabel Dennis. Joshua also known as Bigelow was a gentle giant with a contagious laugh. He adored his two daughters, Patricia and Eliza, and often would brag to everyone about how proud he was of their accomplishments. He was known for his jokes and bright ray of sunshine he brought to a dull room. He was a proud member of the Warriors Society, having stood front lines defending our Treaty Rights on more than one occasion. Family was everything to him. He spent a lot of his days with his brother, Levi, taking wellness cruises and sharing a close brotherly bond. He especially enjoyed family gatherings, Sunday dinners at his fathers home, hanging out with friends and watching his favorite team, The Boston Bruins. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Joshua is survived by his father, Paul Nicholas Sr. (Charlene); his two daughters, Patricia Gould and Eliza Gould, both of Eskasoni; mother of his children, Martine Gould, Eskasoni; his paternal grandmother, Mary Bridget Paul, Eskasoni; godmother, Rosie Basque, Eskasoni; his siblings, Glenda Junta, Eskasoni, Perry Dennis (Mary Lou), Eskasoni, Andrea Dennis (Calvin), Membertou, Robin Dennis, Eskasoni, Tabitha Googoo (Charles), Eskasoni, Becky Nicholas, Sydney, Paul Nicholas Jr. (Zoe), Chapel Island, Levi Nicholas (Felicia), Eskasoni, John Nicholas, Whycocomagh, Nikkita Dennis, Sydney, Trent Nicholas (Derek), Tryah Nicholas, Caroline (Kalo) Nicholas (Jr), Raylene Nicholas (Colin), Raven Nicholas (Jodin), Kaplie’l and Colin ji’j, all of Eskasoni.
