Dolly Saccary, age 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021, with her nephew, Bill MacPherson, by her side at the Northside Community Guest House in North Sydney, NS, Canada. She was born in Reserve, Cape Breton, NS on March 4, 1922, to the late William & Mary (Russell) Sinclair. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Saccary in 1995. Dolly moved from Canada to the United States in 1952 with her family. She lived and worked in New Canaan, CT as a housekeepe­r for many years before returning to Canada, where she lived out the rest of her life. She loved her family and spending time with them as much as possible. During many get togethers when the music started, she would love to sing along. Dolly was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 5 sisters and 6 brothers and her parents. Dolly was predecease­d by her son, William James Saccary Sr. in 1988. Survivors include her son, Angus Saccary and his wife, Sharon of Norwalk, Mose Saccary and his wife, Mary of Ridgefield; her grandchild­ren, Stacey Gallant, Rose Saccary, William Saccary Jr, Nicholas Saccary, also her greatgrand­children, Megan Saccary and Caitlyn Saccary, William Saccary Southard. We would like to thank the Northside Community Guest Home for everything that they have done for Dolly and our family. There are not enough words to express how we feel. The care and compassion they showed numerous times throughout her stay there was amazing. Everyone who worked there became a part of our family. We will be forever grateful for all of them. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
