Thanks for the smiles

- CINDY DAY weathermail@weatherbyday.ca @Cindydayweather Cindy Day is Saltwire Network’s Chief Meteorologist.

Full disclosure, I am a bit of a packrat. I’d like to think that I’m sentimental or emotionally attached to certain things, but truth be told, I think I’m a packrat.

For example, I get hundreds of emails a week. I read them all, delete many of them, but I also save quite a few, perhaps too many. Every two weeks or so, I take a few minutes to purge through a few folders that hold these semi-precious pieces of correspondence.

As I sorted through the new collection, I couldn’t help to think of how blessed I am to receive so many lovely photos and letters. Oh, they are not all kind, but most are, and this week, so many of them made me smile.

Cindy, if I may call you that, since I moved back to Nova Scotia in 2018, your daily column has given me a lot of enjoyment. Never complaints, not even about the weather. I always read your commentary, not only for the weather but always your upbeat lookout on life.

Keep it up, Cindy. We all need someone who always has a bright outlook on life.

Thank you so much.

John Bassett

PS - I’m 85, and yours is the only column I’ve read in my life that never has a complaint in it.

Your correspondence makes my day. Let’s keep the conversation going.
