On June 21, Inverness County District RCMP were called to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 19 around 7:30 p.m. First responders attended the scene and discovered a southbound car travelling on Highway 19 had been turning left into a parking lot when it was hit by a pickup truck travelling north.

RCMP said Highway 19 was closed for several hours following the crash. A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.

A GoFundMe campaign was created for the family. A goal of $5,000 was set, however has since surpassed the mark, raising more than $43,000. To donate, visit www.gofundme.com and search Donations for Lizzi MacEachern's Family.
