REARDON, William David

-

Sydney Mines It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William David Reardon on Saturday, June 26, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Florence on March 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Bill and Pearl Reardon. David recently suffered the loss of his loving wife, Venita, just a short seven months ago. David was truly devoted to Venita during her lengthy illness and the huge loss he suffered was evident by his daily visits to the graveyard. We can take some comfort in the knowledge that they are together again. David was a bricklayer by trade, which he greatly enjoyed. Later in life, he started his own business with his son, David Jr. “Reardon’s Fiberglass and Boat Repair”. David’s favorite pastimes were spending time at the wharf watching the boats come in and out and going for Sunday drives with his wife. He is survived by his children, David (Leah), Michelle (Harry) and Alex (Trina); grandchildren, (Kyle, Tyler, Katelyn, Sara, Kelsey, Taylor, Julia, Amber, Trent and Grace) and six great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Blaine, Victor, (Valerie), and Vernon (Mike). He is also survived by his in-laws, Ina Taylor, Sarah MacDougall (David), Evelyn Furmidge (Reg), Lawrence MacDougall (Audrey), and Marion Hart (Gary). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Venita; son, in infancy; brother, Wilson (Debbie); Blaine’s wife, Elma; his in-laws, Alex and Dorothy MacDougall and Charlie Taylor. At his request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside burial will be held at a later date. Words of condolence may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com. A special thank you to the CBRH staff, Dr. McKeough, and the staff of Jobes Funeral Home.
