Nova Scotia Health warns of longer ER wait times
HALIFAX — Nova Scotia Health (NSH) is anticipating longer than usual wait times for emergency room patients throughout the summer as the health authority continues to suspend some emergency room operations.
In a news release, NSH said emergency departments throughout Nova Scotia are continuing to see high numbers of patients, causing increased wait times.
The health authority said some smaller emergency departments are experiencing periodic closures and has released closure notices for several hospital emergency rooms throughout the week.
