North Sydney It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, sister and aunt, Judy Billard age 79, on Saturday August 28, 2021 at her home. Born in North Sydney on July 1, 1942, Judy was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth “Bessie” (Ludlow) Dove. She was a stay at home Mom who enjoyed spending the time raising her three children. She enjoyed playing darts at various leagues, planting

flowers and tending to her gardens at her home, watching the numerous birds that came to her yard. Christmas was her favourite time of year, especially decorating for the occasion. She was an animal lover and will be missed by her dog Sierra and cat BJ. Judy is survived by her children; Vivian (Dave) Hart, Howie Centre, MaryAnn Billard, Dartmouth, Kenny (Kim) Billard, Ontario; sister Diane Dove, Balls Creek; brothers, Melvin (Patsy) Dove, Wilfred (Vicky) Dove, Clarence (Yvonne) Dove, all of North Sydney, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Judy was predeceased by her sister, Florence Slade; brothers, June, Allister and Lloyd Dove; sisters-in-law, Kay (MacPherson) Dove and Beverly Ann Dove. By request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines with Marjorie Serafinus officiating. Memorial donations may be sent to Caleb’s Courage, c/o of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, Sydney. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the W.J.
