MINERS CAPTURE BOBBY JOE RYAN MEMORIAL TITLE
The Glace Bay Miners under-13 ‘A’ team were successful in winning the annual Bobby Joe Ryan Memorial Hockey Tournament at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney. MINERS SCORE OT WIN TO CLAIM CAPE BRETON CUP TITLE
The Glace Bay Miners No. 2 captured the Cape Breton Under-13 ‘C’ Hockey League Cape Breton Cup championship in dramatic fashion at the Dominion and District Community Centre on March 27. STRAIT RICHMOND PIRATES WIN UNDER-11 ‘A’ PROVINCIAL TITLE
The Strait Richmond Pirates wrapped up a successful 2021-22 minor hockey season by winning the Nova Scotia under-11 ‘A’ provincial title. The Port Hawkesbury-based Pirates defeated the Bedford Blues 7-3 in Day of Champions at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro on April 9. Members of the team are shown with the winning banner.
