It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Les Boudreau, 79, of Dominion, N.S., on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness. Les was born in Dominion, to the late Danny and Vange Boudreau on October 8,1942. Les is survived by his loving wife, Sondra (Ryan), his two children Lynn and Marc (Debora Degiobbi), and his three grandsons, Mitchell, Trevor, and Aiden (Rebekah) Boudreau. Les is also survived by his siblings, Evangeline (Edward) Deruelle, Charlie (Kay) Boudreau, Harvey (Claire) Boudreau, Arlene Lefort (Mike Butts), Paula Boudreau (Basil Macdonald), Adele (Frank) Bates, sister-in-law Belinda Boudreau, brother-in-law Jerry (Deborah) Ryan, and sister-in-law Bernadine (Louis) Comeau. Les is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Les was predecease­d by his brother, Greg Boudreau. Les began his career as a meat cutter at Sobeys in Sydney Mines. He later returned to University and completed his Bachelor of Education Degree and continued his career as an instructor in the meat cutting program at the former AVTC (Marconi Campus) until his retirement

in 1996. Les and San were lifetime best friends. The

success of their marriage and the closeness they maintained for over 57 years were

so important to him. Family and friends meant the world to Les. His singing and sense of humor brought so much joy to his family. Les gave generously of himself and lived by the motto “Never have two of anything, when someone else is in need.” He was the absolute best husband, father, and grandfathe­r. The Boudreau family would like to extend sincere

thanks to the Heart Function Clinic, the VON, and EHS for their wonderful care. Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Macneil and the medical staff at

Glace Bay Hospital and CBRH Cardiac Care and Palliative Care Units. Visitation will take place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist­s, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, (902-849-4199) on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 10 a.m., followed by a Celebratio­n of Life at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dan Boudreau presiding.
