Card of Thanks DEVEAUX, Mary 'Denise'

We, the family of the late Mary 'Denise' Deveaux, wish to express our sincere appreciation for the love and kindness shown to us during the loss of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister. We will be forever indebted to our families, friends, work families and mom's caregivers, especially Sharon M., for the support given to us during this tremendously difficult time. We are grateful for the food brought to our homes, phone calls, texts, gift cards, monetary donations, visits and online condolences. Thank you to everyone who attended mom's wake and funeral, Fr. Dennis Lamey and his staff for their patience, guidance and compassion during the preparations for the funeral and to everyone who honored mom with flowers, Mass cards, sympathy cards, enrollments in religious societies and donations to various charities. We appreciate the guidance of Fr. Lamey, his delivery of our mother's eulogy and his celebration of mom's Funeral Mass. Thank you to the pallbearers (Rick, Adam, Jeff, Gilles, Mark, Paul, she loved you like her own), readers (granddaughter, Whitney Deveaux, who selected a reading that was beautifully symbolic and nephew, Gilles Maillet, who read in French, mom's first language) and Pat Moore, the soloist, your selections were very meaningful. To the dedicated and professional staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel, thank you for helping us navigate during such a difficult time. To Dr. Chris Lawand, thank you for your years of care given to mom and your support and compassion in mom's final days. To our palliative care team (Leah Burns, et al.) you went above and beyond to support us and ensure mom's comfort and dignity to the end. Thank You.
