We are saddened to announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Frank Remus, age 32, on March 31, 2024, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Frank was born May 4, 1991, in Kitchener, ON, to Keith Boone and Karen Remus. He spent most of his childhood living in Ontario until he later permanently relocated to Sydney, NS, to be closer to his Cape Breton family. Frank was very family oriented, always calling them and asking what each family member was up to. He was a good friend to his neighbours and would always look out for them. He loved working on computers, gaming, watching old movies, listen ing to music, his German roots and learning to speak German. He enjoyed showing off his German flag, proudly hung for all to see in his living room. Frank was a kind, gentle soul to all who were blessed to get to know him. He was known to quite literally give the clothes off his back and help anyone in need of a place to stay. Frank is survived by his parents, Keith Boone and Karen Remus; brothers, Shawn (Megan), Brian (Michelle), Shane, Daniel, Malcolm and Matthew; sisters, Jodi (Donnie) and Keri-Lynn; as well as maternal grandmother, Joan Remus. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly, including his special aunt, Dayle (David). Frank was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Anne Boone and his maternal grandfather, Dieter Remus. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 8th from 4-7 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. We, the family, would like to thank the staff of the ICU at CBRH for the kind and compassionate care given to Frank during his short hospital stay. As Frankwas a very givingman, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Words of comfort can be sent to the family at:
