CONFIANT (Kaloc), Marlene Frances

-

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Marlene Frances (Kaloc) Confiant on March 31, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in June of 1958, to the late Frank and Mary (Serrick) Kaloc, Marlene was employed at the firm of Khattar & Khattar where she was a loyal and dedicated property paralegal. Mom loved to be surrounded by her loved ones and was always the first to offer to host parties and dinners. She never let a birthday or holiday go by without a celebration. Her greatest joy was found in making others happy, and her greatest pride and love was for her husband, her children and her precious grandson. Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Paul; her daughters, Shannon and Andree (Stewart); her son, P.J. (Breanne); and her grandson, Benjamin, who was her pride and joy. Just thinking of Ben helped her get through her long treatments and gave her the strength to fight so hard. She will be dearly missed by her brotherin-law, Nelson Petrie; her nephew, Brent Petrie; and her cousin, Barbara Coombs who was like a sister to her. And she will be lovingly remembered by her dear friends, her in-laws, and her extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary and by her sister and best friend, Sharon Petrie. There will be a small service for Marlene to be announced at a later date. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of 4D at the CB Regional Hospital for the kind and compassionate care they gave mom during her stays in hospital, as well as the staff at the Cancer Centre. We are forever grateful for your kindness. And to our family and friends, your love and support will never be forgotten. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.sydneymemorialchapel.com
