Canmore Highland Games
September 4 & 5, 2021 - Canmore, Alberta
Looking for something special and fun to do this Labour Day weekend? The Canmore Highland Games - one of Western Canada's largest and most popular Celtic festivals - is returning to the Rocky Mountains for its 30th anniversary. This year, Canmore is “going back to the roots” of traditional Highland games, showcasing a series of individual competitions, as well as demonstrations in heavy sports, pipes and drums, and Highland dance. The two-day event will also bring back several fan favorites, including the British Car and Motorcycle show, the popular Sheep Dog exhibitions, the Celtic Market and vendor booths, the Tug O' War competition, and more. The festivities will also include a Taste of the Highlands event, where participants can sample from over 90 wines and Scotches from some of the world's top producers. The weekend will close out with the Canmore Ceilidh, a traditional evening of music and piping, as well as Irish and Highland dance. Canmore is keeping the safety of its guests and presenters a top priority, promising a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
