Ghost Village

It isn’t the lost city of Atlantis: it is a Galician village. In 1992, the village of Aceredo was flooded to create the Alto Lindoso Dam. This year, due to drought, remnants of the lost village began re-emerging from the reservoir. In mid-February, it was only at 15 percent of its capacity for water. Visitors were drawn to the village ruins, finding evidence of what life used to be in Aceredo: a former café, a rusted car, and even a drinking fountain are among the dilapidated buildings.
