The Motor City Irish Fest

The Motor City Irish Fest, Southeast Michigan's premier Irish-themed, family friendly gathering, celebrates its 12th year this June with a weekend of Celtic culture and entertainment. Held at Greenmead Historic Park, the three-day event will feature 19 musical artists, with headline performances from internationally renowned quartet The Fitzgeralds and Co. Kildare's The Druids. Visitors are sure to enjoy an array of activities, including traditional dancing and dance lessons, Irish football demonstrations, a .001-K Run, pipe band performances, and the always popular Cultural Tent showcasing Irish history and heritage. For those wanting to whet their whistle, the annual gathering serves up samples of hand-selected spirits in its several “pubs”, while the wee ones are welcome to take in storytelling and more in the Children's tent. In addition, vendors will be on site all weekend with a variety of Celtic themed wares and fares.
