The COVID Alert app is a complementary tool that you can use to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It lets you know if you have been in contact with a person who has contracted COVID-19.

You will receive a notification and recommendations if you have spent more than 15 minutes less than two metres away from someone who has tested positive in the past 14 days. The app is free, easily accessible and keeps your personal information safe.

The app does not replace health measures such as handwashing, social distancing and wearing a mask.

Use of the COVID Alert app is completely voluntary. You are free to download it, use it or delete it. The more people use the app, the more effective it will be in curbing transmission of the virus.
