Before leaving DDP headquarte­rs, the 215hp Bosch P7100 was bumped to 23 degrees of timing, treated to .024 delivery valves, an AFC spring and fuel plate, and flowed plenty of fuel aboard the test bench. The extensivel­y-tweaked P-pump feeds a set of DDP Stage 3 injectors while twin FASS fuel systems ensure low-pressure fuel supply is never an issue.  To stand up to the nearly 1,600 lb-ft of twist that’s on tap, Johnny cut zero corners on the transmissi­on. A Stage 6 47RE from ATS Diesel, complete with all billet shafts, Raybestos clutches and frictions, a 48RE six-pinion overdrive planetary, high-pressure valve body, and a Five-star converter, has been holding strong for more than two years now. Converter lockup is taken care of via an ATS Co-pilot.
