JJake Cambria, owner of The Truck Shop in Naples, Florida, is the kind of guy who looks to support those who protect and serve us. Over the years, he has been delivering food, water and supplies to first responders and victims affected by hurricanes, wildfires and other natural disasters along the Gulf Coast while working within his community to raise awareness.

At only 24 years old, Jake has built his shop from a single-bay storage unit in 2014 to a four-bay 5,000 square-foot shop these days, catering to high-end truck builds. Last year, he overhauled a 2016 Ford Super Duty DRW dubbed “Back the Blue” in support of law enforcement.

While on a supply run with the truck this past summer to help bring supplies to those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Jake and friend Brad Spearing had the idea that it was time to build a fire rescue-themed truck to show appreciation and raise awareness for firefighters; with that, Rescue17 was born.

“We thought we'd continue the first-responder tradition and give the firefighters some love,” Jake explained.

Jake went to his local dealership and picked up a new 2017 Ford F350 Super Duty DRW Platinum with all the factory options. From there, he and his team got a parts list together and went to work sourcing everything needed to turn the idea into reality.

From the suspension and wheels to the body, bumpers and drivetrain, nothing was left untouched.
