Peanut Farmer, Sunday school teacher… and President

“I love peanuts first. Politics is second,” says President Jimmy Carter in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. Volunteers for his 1976 Presidential campaign were known as “the Peanut Brigade.” Awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2002, he has lead the longest and most active post-white House career of any President.
