Why change something when it works so well.
The chef uses Quebec maple charcoal to prepare luscious Sterling Silver steaks—the best our country has to offer. Is there anything more satisfying than a wellmarbled rib steak that has sizzled on the charcoal grill? The wine list is carefully chosen to enhance the menu. Which wine goes with steak? All of them. And there are short ribs that have been slow cooked in a friendly coupling with tangy house-made sauce. A warm country loaf comes wrapped in a cloth, but does not remain uneaten long enough to get cold. Salads and vegetables are offered in a variety of ways, and the menu proudly lists all the vegetarian and gluten-free items.
Aged barn boards line the wall in the long bar at the front, and comfortable booths suggest you stay for a casual dinner. The display of spirits in their beautiful bottles is definitely a conversation opener. As you stroll back to the tables in the dining room, you’ll notice a second floor, where you can stand at the railing and see the scene below. A long polished wood table is set in the private dining room, divided from the main dining room by a heavy glass door. First impressions? Pretty darn spiffy.
