Death of child no solution

Re: “Third World women suffer if we don’t support family planning; Canada should refuse to fund projects that don’t allow abortion,” by Janet Bagnall, Opinion, Jan. 29.

Women in underdeveloped countries are suffering and in some cases dying from unsafe abortions.

Thank you to Stephen Harper for ignoring people such as Janet Bagnall and for refusing to advocate for the idea that the death of a child can be a solution to a problem.

I am glad Harper does not want to export one of the ugliest and inhumane practices we have in our so-called enlightened and caring western society.
