Take a break with a holiday hayride
HORS E- DRAWN SHOPPING
Mix modern pre-Christmas activities like suburban shopping with traditional ones like an oldfashioned hay ride at the Currents of Windermere shopping centre.
The fundraiser for the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton will see holiday shoppers riding through the area by horse-drawn wagon, in exchange for a minimum donation of $2 per person or $5 per family.
The hay rides run from the Canadian Tire parking lot, where hot chocolate and treats will be available in a heated tent, through the development on Currents Drive.
Volunteers from the local retail shops will be on hand to collect donations and serve customers. Hay rides will be offered every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Christmas, at the Currents of Windermere at Anthony Henday Drive and Terwillegar Drive NW.
