CP Rail police probe mischief on Alberta line

-

BLACKFALDS — CP Rail police investigators are looking into several acts of mischief on the company’s line in central Alberta.

In one case, a freight train was forced to make an emergency stop when it hit several stacked metal plates piled on top of the tracks near Blackfalds. CP spokesman Kevin Hrysak says no one was hurt in what he calls a deliberate criminal act. He noted other instances of mischief in the area since the emergency stop March 25.

He asks anyone with information to contact CP Rail or the RCMP.
