New Fringe sponsor
The Fringe has a new lead sponsor, and its Strathcona theatre home has a new handle.
As announced at a news conference Tuesday, the TransAlta Arts Barns is now being rechristened the ATB Financial Arts Barns — thanks to a new five-year commitment from that financial institution to both Edmonton’s giant summer theatre festival and its multi-theatre headquarters.
The partnership, founded on “a significant” investment from ATB Financial, replaces the 13-year alliance between TransAlta and the Fringe Festival and the Arts Barns.
The amount of money invested by ATB was not revealed.
