A deep-water recovery mission continues for a fisherman at a northeastern Alberta lake who was last seen two weeks ago.

An RCMP helicopter was scheduled to conduct further aerial scans Friday afternoon.

Around 7 p.m. on June 1, Serge Paulin told an employee of the Christina Lake Lodge that he was going fishing on the lake. Paulin, 42, hasn’t been seen since. Paulin’s boat was later discovered empty on the lake, roughly 12 kilometres south of the Conklin lodge.

An extensive air, land and water search failed to turn up any sign of him. Fish and wildlife officers and Fort McMurray search and rescue volunteers assisted.

Christina Lake stretches over 20 square kilometres.
