Heavy feet, heavy hearts

Re: “Hard to speed without a car,” by E.C. Fowler, Letters, June 18. I congratulate E.C. Fowler for this letter. I am particularly impressed with his comment that speeders should think first about the consequences of their actions. They always whine after they get caught. I experienced this on several occasions when I was a police officer.
