The fourth album didn’t fare as well, but Judd never wavered in her half-full outlook.

She has reinvented herself and her career a handful of times since then.

She’s been on the road with Naomi since, too, most recently in 2011, a reunion that was documented in a reality series on Oprah Winfrey’s network OWN.

Judd considers herself a mentor to many young country artists, and is determined to create a new generation of “Juddheads” with her music.

“My mom didn’t teach me to be quiet and fade into the background. She raised me to be a champion, to be the best I can be with the gifts that God has given me. I think of myself as a storyteller. I’m definitely a researcher. I’ve researched my fans for 30 years now. I’m no different than them, spiritually and emotionally.

“The only difference is that I have this crazy job I do called show business. I’m not a magical being.

“I’m just an extremely blessed person.”
