Police warn of sex offender’s release from institution
Edmonton police are warning the public that a 38-yearold sex offender has recently been released from an Edmonton institution after serving his sentence.
Daniel Keith Mc Adam completed a three year plus two month sentence for sexual assault and escaping lawful custody, police said in a news release Tuesday.
McAdam is considered to pose a risk of significant harm to the community, police said. McAdam will be living in the Edmonton area and will be closely monitored by the police’s Behavioural Assessment Unit. “The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest…,” the release said.
