Punching pedestrian sought by police

-

CA LGA RY — It’s not your typical hit and run.

First the driver strikes the pedestrian, then the pedestrian strikes the driver with his fist.

Now police are looking for the pedestrian, who fled the scene.

Calgary police duty inspector Michael Watterston said officers were called by EMS to about 7:20 a.m. to respond to a disturbance.

Watterston said paramedics from a nearby EMS station went to the scene after an argument between two men turned violent.

“The vehicle and the pedestrian made contact at the intersection. The pedestrian punched the driver of the vehicle and walked away from the scene,” Watterston said.

“There were no injuries reported and no damage to the vehicle.”
