Dragons’ Den to hold local auditions Feb. 15

Entreprene­urs who think their idea might just be cool enough to extinguish the fiery breath of Canada’s hottest business tycoons are being invited to try out for Dragons’ Den.

Auditions for the hit CBC television show are once again underway.

The show will make a stop in Edmonton on Saturday, Feb. 15, with open auditions at the University of Alberta’s Stollery Executive Developmen­t Centre, 11211 Saskatchew­an Drive, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participan­ts of all ages are welcome and no prior television experience is required.

Aspiring entreprene­urs must be ready to pitch their concept to the producers in five minutes or less.

Those interested are encouraged to apply online in advance and bring a completed applicatio­n to the audition.

The current season of Dragons’ Den airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBC.

It’s the highest-rated unscripted program on television in Canada with an average of 1.2 million viewers each week.

The five Dragons are Arlene Dickinson, Kevin O’Leary, David Chilton, Bruce Croxon and Jim Treliving.
