Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9 p.m.: The Edmonton Poetry Brothel uncovers your Hidden Passions at the New Wunderbar Haufbraus (8120 101st St.) Hidden Passions promises to add a sexy spark to your Sunday night with poetry, burlesque and music. Doors open at 8 p.m. Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets $10/plus tips. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2 p.m.: Robin Esrock will be talking about his bestsellin­g books and his travel exploits at the St. Albert Public Library’s Forsyth Hall. This is a free event. Reserve a spot by calling 780459 1682. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.: Adam Pottle will be reading from his new novel Mantis Dream at Audreys Books. Pottle’s first book, Beautiful Mutants (a volume of poetry) was shortliste­d for two 2012 Saskatchew­an Book Awards. His chapbook, Bereft, won the 2008 Barry McKinnon Chapbook Prize. Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23: The Edmonton Public Library’s Books2Buy book sale takes place on the lower level of the Stanley A. Milner Library. Saturday, Feb. 22: Allan Kehler, a profession­al speaker based in Saskatoon, launches his book Stepping Out From the Shadows: A Guide to Understand­ing & Healing from Addictions.
