Kia reportedly planning two-door Soul
After leading the sales pack ahead of its competition, the boxy Kia Soul has established itself as a sales success across the globe for the Korean automaker, especially in North America.
Given its popularity, it comes as no surprise that Kia is considering a handful of Soul variants. According to Car and Driver, among them is a two-door coupe version based on the Kia Track’ster concept.
What gets our attention isn’t the Track’ster’s funky sheet metal, but the powertrain: under the hood is a 250-horsepower turbo-charged fou r-cyl i nder engine.
According to one company executive familiar with the Soul, that particular engine will physically fit in the Soul, making it entirely possible to see it in a Soul coupe.
