Ford recalls 8,000 vehicles in Canada

-

DETROIT — Ford is recalling more than 100,000 vehicles in North America, including 8,000 in Canada, for various safety defects.

No injuries related to the defects have been reported in any of the several separate recalls announced Tuesday.

Transport Canada’s website says 8,173 Ford Edge, Flex and Taurus and Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT and Lincoln MKX are facing recalls, plus 143 Escape SUVs. These recalls involve the right-hand halfshaft, which is part of the axle. Six F59 commercial stripped chassis face recalls because corrosion could lead to a fire risk. The company will notify owners and dealers will repair the vehicles for free.
