Guardians of the Galaxy
Self-professed comic-book and superhero geek Fred Kennedy hosts a look at the much-anticipated summer movie Guardians of the Galaxy, which takes a far more irreverent look at the genre than many of its cousins. The funniest thing about high school may be that the people who look back on their teen years with great fondness generally don’t grow up to be comedians. If there’s little love for Lowe (Richard Coyle) in Santa Compana to begin with, the situation only gets worse for him in the new episode Beggarman. Nenna (Tracy Ifeachor) intends to escape, and to do that, she’ll have to go through him — and she fully intends to do so. Balfour (Peter Stebbings) thinks he’s making the right move by striking up a certain partnership, but he and Lowe could both end up dead as a result. (NBC, Global)
Blue Bloods
Probing a child’s disappearance makes Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) recall a similar case from years earlier in the repeat episode, Open Secrets. That girl’s father (guest star Patrick Breen) still maintains hope that she’ll be found. Frank (Tom Selleck) faces a potential international incident when a police detective is arrested in London.
