Barenaked Ladies to play Jube on Nov. 3

- SANDRA SPEROUNES

More than 25 years into their career, Barenaked Ladies are still on a roll.

The CanCon legends will bring their Silverball tour to the Jubilee Auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Tickets are $39, $57.50 and $88.50 plus service charges. On sale: Friday at Ticketmaster.ca.

The foursome will also perform Oct. 28 at Revolution Arena in Grande Prairie and Nov. 2 at Enmax Centrium in Red Deer. Great Big Sea’s Alan Doyle will open.

BNL will release their 12th album, Silverball, on June 2. The title refers to singer Ed Robertson’s pinball obsession and also harkens back to the band’s 1992 debut, Gordon, which features a red, white, and blue rubber ball on its cover. Canadian vocal group The Tenors will sing tunes from their latest album, Under One Sky, under the roof of the Jubilee Auditorium on Friday, Sept. 25. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, May 9 via Ticketmaster.ca. Prices have yet to be announced. We’ve got a Folk Fest leak! British singer-songwriter Laura Marling will perform Sunday, Aug. 9, according to her label’s website, ribbonmusic.com. She just released her fifth album, Short Movie. The festival will announce its full lineup on June 3.

Interstellar Rodeo has added nine more acts to its July 24 to 26 lineup, including four singer-songwriters from Edmonton.

Mike McDonald, Colleen Brown, Joe Nolan and Lucette are among the interlude performers — those artists who get to perform about 20 minutes between the sets of the main acts. Calgary’s JJ Shiplett and Clinton St. John will also play interlude slots.

Single-day tickets will go on sale Thursday, April 30 via interstellarrodeo.com. ssperounes@ edmontonjournal.com twitter.com/Sperounes
