Careful what you ask for

Re: “Edmonton best served with mix of MLAs,” April 29. To those in Edmonton who think it’s time to vote leftwing, I say be careful what you ask for. A herd of Edmonton NDP MLAs sitting in opposition to the PCs, or a PC-Wildrose coalition, will not put this city at the cabinet table, where policy decisions are made. Who will represent Edmonton then?

Baying from opposition benches is for losers, not leaders. Edmontonians will do well to remember that we brought this lamentable scenario upon ourselves once before when Ralph Klein was premier and he cheerfully reminded us that Edmonton didn’t vote PC. How soon some of us seem to forget those dark days.
