Three people injured in house explosion

-

Two youths and one adult suffered minor injuries after a small explosion and fire Monday at their home on the Paul First Nation, police say.

The trio was returning home around 11:30 a.m., but before they could enter, there was an explosion, said Cpl. Kimberly Mueller with the Stony Plain-Spruce Grove-Enoch RCMP. “We don’t believe that anyone was in the house at the time. ... However, we can’t rule that out,” she said.

Mueller said it does not look like the bungalow will be salvageable.

Paul First Nation is about 30 kilometres west of Edmonton.
