Liberals pick Leibovici in Edmonton West

Members of the Edmonton West Federal Liberal Association nominated Karen Leibovici on Wednesday as their candidate for the upcoming general election.

Leibovici, 63, started her career as a social worker, but spent the past several decades in politics.

She was an MLA for EdmontonMeadowlark from 1993-2001 and served as president of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. She also spent 12 years on city council and ran unsuccessfully for mayor in 2013.
