Strauss-Kahn faces ‘pimping’ verdict
PARIS — Dominique Strauss-Kahn faces a verdict on whether he is guilty of “aggravated pimping” — the last of a string of legal challenges that started when a New York hotel maid accused him of sexual assault in 2011.
The former International Monetary Fund chief could get up to 10 years in prison and a ¤1.5 million ($2.1 million Cdn) fine if found guilty by a court Friday.
He is among a dozen defendants in a complex prostitution trial.
Strauss-Kahn has admitted to participating in orgies but denies profiting from prostitution or being aware that women involved in the case were prostitutes.
