Hinchcliffe will travel to Toronto
TORONTO — Canadian driver James Hinchcliffe will serve as the grand marshal for this year’s Honda Indy Toronto race.
The 28-year-old native of Oakville, Ont., won’t drive Sunday due to injuries sustained in an accident May 18 during practice for the Indianapolis 500. But Hinchcliffe has received medical clearance to travel to Toronto to serve as grand marshal and say the infamous “Drivers, start your engines,” command to start the race.
