A caveat on funicular

Re: “Downtown funicular project gets OK,” June 24 The funicular project will certainly enhance our downtown and provide improved access to our river valley for all. It is imaginative, attractive and a most welcome addition.

It should prove a huge success — as long as the contract is not given to the same company responsible for the unreliable, dysfunctional LRT escalators.
