Here’s some of the feedback from 746 participants in a 2011 online city survey: 90 per cent: Proportion of respondents living near a small neighbourhood shopping site. 44 per cent: Proportion who shop there at least once a week. 60 per cent: Proportion who usually walk there. 86 per cent: Proportion who say the most important reason for going to the site is because they can easily walk or bike.
