Movie: Larry Kramer in Love and Anger
Filmmaker Jean Carlomusto examines the life of author, playwright and novelist Larry Kramer, whose largely autobiographical 1985 play The Normal Heart became an Emmy Award-winning HBO TV movie in 2014. This documentary chronicles the challenges that Kramer and his fractious colleagues on the Gay Men’s Health Crisis confronted during the early days of the war on AIDS. As Kramer battles current health problems, he reflects on his role as a polarizing but passionate advocate for gay rights. (HBO Canada)
