Ukraine gets winter gas

Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom says it has resumed supplies to Ukraine that will help the country meet its energy needs through the harsh winter months. Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said supplies, which were suspended in the spring, recommenced earlier Monday after the company received US$234 million in prepayments from Kyiv.
