ART GALLERY OF ALBERTA The Blur in Between Art and design meet in The Blur in Between. This Poole Centre of Design exhibition explores the intersecti­ons between contempora­ry art, architectu­re, industrial design, craft, digital art, fashion, publishing and typography. It demonstrat­es how functional design methods are used in art alongside conceptual design that questions both form and esthetics. Saturday to May 8. The Blur in Between Artist Panel The Blur in Between artists Micah Lexier, Lisa Naftolin, Maaike Anne Stevens and Maite Zabala Meruane will be participat­ing in a panel discussing the boundaries between art and design. Sunday, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dana Holst: She’s All That Until Feb. 15 Living Building Thinking: Art and Expression­ism Until Feb. 15 Rough Country Landscapes and everyday objects are made anew to the eye by the five Alberta artists featured: Maxwell Bates, Laura Evans Reid, John Snow, W.L. Stevenson and Dorothy Henzell Willis. Until Jan. 31. Charette Roulette: FABRIC FABRIC is the theme of the third Charrette Roulette. Lead artist Yvonne Mullock with local designer Teng Teng Chong will present HOMEWORKS. Using simple printed and decorative techniques, each design will be collaborat­ively negotiated and produced in the space. Textiles designed by Mullock and Chong will be sewn and made into items to offer comfort to those who visit the exhibition. Until April 10. SNAP GALLERY The Lebret Residentia­l Petroglyph­s SNAP opens 2016 with new works by Alberta artist Tanya Harnett. The Lebret Residentia­l Petroglyph­s is a series of photograph­s that document the school’s remaining brick gates and confronts the impacts of residentia­l schools.
