DC’s Legends of Tomorrow
After a warm-up from its characters appearing on The Flash and Arrow, DC Comics’ TV universe grows again with the première of this adventure series. Such heroes as The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) are featured as time traveller Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) organizes them to combat Vandal Savage’s (Casper Crump) threat to mankind. THE NATURE OF THINGS
Maureen Palmer’s new documentary, Wasted, took a sharp and unexpected personal turn when her longtime partner, psychotherapist and recovering alcoholic Mike Pond, suffered a major relapse. The film follows the couple as they investigate the root causes of addiction and discover a revolution in addiction research and treatment. (CBC)
ELEMENTARY
The pursuit of a homicide-minded computer hacker is taken up by Holmes and Watson (Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu) in this new episode. The death of a wealthy Russian visitor in New York draws in the sleuths. Watson wonders why Morland (John Noble) has asked her to dinner. (CBS, Global)
BASKETS
Comedic loose cannon Zach Galifianakis co-created (with Louis C.K.) and stars in this unconventional new sitcom that follows the fortunes of Chip Baskets (Galifianakis), a Bakersfield, Calif., resident who dreams of becoming a professional clown. He pursues a degree at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, only to discover that some fundamental knowledge of French might have been an asset. (FX Canada)
ANGEL FROM HELL
Amy (Jane Lynch) and Allison (Maggie Lawson) go to a nightclub for an education in going with the flow. Marv (Kevin Pollak) runs a background check on Amy. (CBS)
SHADES OF BLUE
